Human compassion has been and always will be a problem and something that goes against divine mercy, but humanist thought has influenced and confused the convictions of many Christians today.
What would you do if a man were to enter your home and begin to abuse your wife? What measures must you take? Must you kneel and pray while the man commits the abuse? Do you believe you would be trusting the flesh if you take up an instrument to defend your wife?
The truth is that the Lord has given to the father of the family the responsibility to protect his wife and children, but many Christians have misinterpreted the concept of trusting the flesh and believe that possessing an arm in their homes is fleshly. We live in a time of great violence. Trusting the Lord means taking the necessary and effective measures to protect the family.
Protecting our spiritual
Did you know that four things are necessary to be saved? This message is not taught in the Church today—onlythe message of grace is heard. Many do not know that though we are saved by grace through faith, we are taught in the book of James that faith without works is dead. Therefore, genuine, redeeming, and effectual faith is made evident through some basic works.
Abstaining from meats offered to idols, blood, things strangled, and fornication are four things ordered by God and are essential in order to continue, be acceptable, and reach the end of our walk.
