In the Bible the Lord resembles the believers with a flock which He Himself desires to pastor. The Lord Jesus declared: “I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep” (John 10:11).

To pastor us, He desires to walk close with us. Besides, He utilizes people to fulfill this labor, like pastors, leaders, and family fathers. As we study about the Good Pastor we want to learn what the Bible says in relation to the following questions:

–    How does the Lord treat His sheep?
–    What does He do with His sheep?
–    What does He do for His sheep?
–    How do His sheep feel and live?
–    What is the end of the sheep that live under His direction?
–    What dangers do His sheep encounter and what measures does He take?
–    Is there a characteristic that distinguishes those that are being guided by Him?

The Good Pastor is an expert in doing the work with His sheep. If we are pastors, leaders, or family fathers, we need to learn from Him to be able to guide our families and sheep, our physical sons and spiritual son. If we are believers we want to learn to follow the Good Pastor and in that way finish our lives well and pass eternity with Him.
