The Missionary Work – 2010
There are two essential things for any church that desires to have the blessing of the Lord: worship in truth and spirit (part of the first great commandment) and a missionary vision (part of the second commandment).
Since the church in the book of Acts, we see the importance that the Holy Spirit gives to the missionary work, sending Philip (Acts 8), Peter (Acts 10), and Paul (Acts 13) to missionary trips of different range and proportions.
Years later, when the Church of the Lord was taken out of the darkness, the missionary vision was part of the interest, the program, and the life of the churches and of the men like Zinzendorf, John Wesley, David Brainerd, Hudson Taylor, and George Muller whom participated in a profound seeking of the Lord and of the movement of the Spirit of that age.
Each Christian and each church that desires the best of God must involve themselves in the missionary work. This teaching is so that we can learn or renovate the burden of the heart of God that He desires to foment and brighten in our hearts.
