Amazingly, the issue of having the correct biblical faith determines our eternal destiny — heaven or hell. Paul shows that the right faith regarding the mystery determines if we receive the above blessings. Tragically, God’s Word has faced the adjustments, filters, prejudices, and theological tinkering of Gentile theologians for 2,000 years. Paul’s mystery has been so thoroughly Gentilized and spiritualized that what is preached today bears little resemblance to what he wrote. Hence, it has little practical effect on many areas of our daily lives. The answer is to return to Paul’s version and explanation of this vital truth.
