The word of God is infinitely powerful. With nothing but His word, the entire universe was created. Afterward, He created man in His own likeness and image. Since man has the likeness of God, it is understandable why the Bible tells us that the word found in man’s mouth is very powerful also. According to Proverbs 18:21, even the power of life and death are found in man’s tongue. Many believers do not understand the enormous power that is in their words. Many do not realize that God fulfills the words that they speak in terrible and wonderful ways. It is terrible if their words are words of death, but it is wonderful and glorious if their words are words of life.

In this seminar we will see the power of our words. Whether we understand the power of our words or we do not, we will still face the consequences of what we speak. Jesus declared, “But I say unto you, that every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment“ (Matthew 12:36). Understanding the power of our words will help us to be more careful about what we speak. This understanding can also give us new grace to use our words to edify others, edify the Kingdom of God, and become a great blessing to our own lives.
